| Celebrate May the 4th Be With You Day with Special Olympics | ||||||

In a galaxy (not so) far, far away Special Olympics Hawaii and City Square Shopping Center are uniting forces to celebrate May the 4th Be With You Day on Saturday, May 7, 2022. The event will include a day of family-friendly photo opportunities with costume characters from 501st Legion (Star Wars Imperial Costuming Organization), keiki ID services for your little Padawan, music and interactive activities. There will also be various City Square Shopping Center stores and restaurants offering out-of-this-universe promotions - honoring the popular Star Wars movie franchise - along with the majority of shopping center tenants offering in-store collection boxes to raise awareness and donations for Special Olympics Hawaii athletes and programs. FEATURED BUSINESSES: - Chinatown Marketplace - From the Heart Hawaii - Jay’s Café - Jay’s Sushi - Kalihi Pet Center - Kamehameha Bakery, Inc. - Kathy Shop / Charm Culture - Koala Moa - Pancakes & Waffles Hawaii - Shaka Shaka Tea Express - Sugoi Bento & Catering - Thang’s French Coffee and Bubble Tea - Ubae - Young’s Fish Market Proceeds from this fundraiser will help Special Olympics Hawaii continue to provide year-round sports trainings and competition and health, wellness and leadership programs for over 3,400 athletes statewide with intellectual disabilities, free of charge. Since 1968, Special Olympics has been changing attitudes about the talents of people with intellectual disabilities and raising awareness to build an inclusive and unified community. |
