Monsters & Maidens Burlesque
Student Dungeons & Dragons Inspired Burlesque Readies to Open at The Leeward Theatre

Calling all lovers of RPGs and the scantily clad! We've got creatures and features of all sorts for your entertainment. Comedic characters and tantalizing teases abound in this voluptuous vaudeville spectacular! Join us at the Leeward Theatre's production of the Monsters and Maidens Burlesque Show! You don't want to miss this!

The Monsters and Maidens Burlesque Show is a fundraiser for Leeward Theatre's fall production and will consist of RPG (role playing games) themes much like the oldie but goodie RPG: Dungeons and Dragons. This will be a variety show with burlesque performances intertwined with comedic sketches, dance, singing, and incorporating some of the EDM culture (Electric Dance Music) through gloving.

In the newest production of The Leeward Theater's yearly summer fundraiser, a group of Leeward CC Alumni, current students come together to put on this show in order to raise money for the fall production.

The show is entirely written, conceived, directed, acted, and produced by students and alumni. They devise the show and rehearse it over the course of the summer, dedicating long hours to writing skits, singing, choreography, and design. This years production is directed by Kristen Labiano, Kirstyn Trombetta, and Juvy Lucina – all three directors are recent Leeward alumni or current students.

Don’t miss this exciting new work! Seating is limited so get your tickets early.

About The Leeward Theatre:

Our ultimate goal here at The Leeward Theatre is to build community through live performance. The more of our community that is allowed to access our events the more likely it is for young people and other individuals to take action to improve their community. Creativity is life affirming – no matter the quality or value of what was created. It is a step toward life; toward adding something to the world that did not exist before. The Leeward Theatre exists as a place where creativity is practiced on a daily basis – where students, community members, and trained artists can engage with and empower one another. This is not just a building on a college campus - it is a living breathing extension of the community. It is a place that has the power to inspire, the power to enlighten, and the power to educate.

The Leeward Theatre is about to undergo a major renovation thanks to the generous support of the Legislature, the Governor, and the University of Hawaii. Although we have a reduced season, we're not completely dark. Come check out the fantastic offerings we have for our 43rd Season!
