Learn to dance Salsa & Bachata in a fun, easy, friendly environment while getting the exercise the body needs. Absolute beginners are welcome, no partner and no experience necessary. All ages, no childcare, but children are welcome to come learn too. This is now a 4 week progressive salsa, bachata dance class and we got 4 more classes to go. Goal is to prepare you to be on the social dance floor, empower and inspire you to move your hips and your body. You'll also learn a beginner salsa and bachata dance routine as a bonus starting this Saturday, 3/11 until our last day. WHERE: Paradise Tango Dance Studio 150 N. King St. #202, Honolulu, HI 96813 WHEN: March 11, 18, and April 1 and April 8. TIME: 2pm to 3pm $40 for all 4 classes, otherwise it's $12 per session drop-in fee. Dance Instructor's name is Charito Rivera, who first fell in love with the latin music and dance before she could distinguish which is salsa, merengue, and bachata. She took my very first class in 2006, but slowed down after as she returned to school to obtain my Master's Degree in SW. She returned to the dance scene in 2009, trained, taught and performed around Oahu then Mainland (San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and New York), Canada, Dominican Republic, and Philippines. She's performed in statewide television shows such as “Entertain Me,“ “Mornings News Hawai'i,“ and during the live coverage of the “Na Hoku Hanohano Music Awards Show.“ She reports music and dance is an integral part of her life since she started dancing in kindergarten and she was always surrounded with music, and Latin music and dancing she loves so much she wants to share what she's learned throughout her life as a Latin dancer and music lover. |
