| Art and Wine Show Featuring Patrice | ||||||

The recently renovated Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach will be hosting another art show and wine tasting event on August 25 from 5p.m. to 6:30p.m., following the success of the hotel’s first event several weeks ago. The event will feature the artwork of eminent artist, Patrice Federspiel, and wine tasting will be available through Spada Bar & Restaurant, a Waikiki Italian fusion bistro located within the Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach. Patrice Federspiel is committed to capturing the essence of living aloha through her art. Painting had always been in her soul, but it was not until 2000 that she decided to commit herself to her craft full time. Her art ranges in diversity from visually stunning abstract watercolors to impressively thoughtful figurative paintings inspired by her life here in Hawaii. Federspiel also paints watercolors of the various flora and fauna of Hawaii, including vivid and imaginative illustrations of hibiscus, plumerias, palm fronds and honus (sea turtles). Some of Federspiel’s more fine art pieces include pet portraits and mermaid paintings that incorporate a multitude of rich colors and hues to capture the spirit of each subject with beautiful detail. Federspiel will perform live art demonstrations during the art show, allowing guests to experience the artist in her element while enjoying thoughtfully selected wines. Many of her paintings will be available for sale during the art show, also. In addition to Federspiel’s art collection, a wide selection of wines—provided by Spada Bar & Restaurant—will be available for $20 per 6 tastings. The wines that will be featured on the tasting menu are varietals from Sycamore Lane, a quality on premise wine made from grapes carefully selected from some of California’s most respected wine regions. Sycamore Lane is a premium brand not available in stores, which makes its exclusivity to wine lists a rare treat for wine enthusiasts. The varietals available for the evening of the art show and wine tasting event will include White Zinfandel, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon. |
