| Wildest Show In Town Concert Series | ||||||

Swing on over to the Honolulu Zoo and enjoy the summer's best family concert, the Wildest Show in Town, featuring live local entertainment. Hosted by Hawaii's premier ukulele teacher Roy Sakuma, the 10-week after-hours concert series takes place every Wednesday evening from June 3 through August 5, 2015. The 2015 Wildest Show in Town performance line-up includes: • Wednesday, June 3 ~ Raiatea Helm • Wednesday, June 10 ~ Mark Yamanaka • Wednesday, June 17 ~ Roy Sakuma Super Keikis • Wednesday, June 24 ~ Jimmy Borges and His Jazz All Stars • Wednesday, July 1 ~ Manoa DNA • Wednesday, July 8 ~ A Touch of Gold • Wednesday, July 15 ~ Willie K. • Wednesday, July 22 ~ Ohta San & Nando Suan • Wednesday, July 29 ~ Ledward Kaapana • Wednesday, August 5 ~ Kapena Guests will also enjoy special picnic fare for purchase as well as fun pre-concert family activities such as weekly animal-themed Keiki Koloring Contest, Conservation Station animal biofact display by volunteer Junior Leaders, and a Lego build, courtesy of Hawaii Lego Users Group. A mini-guided tour will also be offered for the first 30 people to sign up. In addition, a each week keiki under 12 can enter a drawing for their chance to win a Kala standard ukulele. Other prize giveaways will include KoAloha, Kamaka, Ko'olau and Kanile'a Ukuleles on select nights. “This is 29th year of the Wildest Show in Town concert series at the Honolulu Zoo and we're thrilled to have such an exciting line up of local entertainment for our guests,“ said Honolulu Zoo Society President Paul Dyson. “It's the perfect opportunity to sit back, relax and enjoy the Zoo during the evening while listening to some of Hawaii's best musical performers.“ Participation fee is $3 per person ages two and over. Zoo gates will open at 4:35 p.m. and the concert will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. Zoo exhibits will be closed from 5:30 p.m. Food and beverages will be sold separately at a nominal fee.
