Oahu Fringe Festival 2012 presents: Coin Operated Boy and Other Tales! A collection of original dance stories featuring local dancers from IONA Contemporary Dance Company, Cherry Blossom Cabaret, and Divino Ritmo. Featuring original music by James Mares. The title piece, “Coin Operated Boy“ is a modern dance story about a mad scientist who creates a coin operated robot when she is through being dissapointed by human men. Hilarity, love, and heartbreak ensue. Sharing the evening is ballroom and latin inspired dance company Divino Ritmo, with choreography and performances by the artistic directors Lucas Jaime and Yanna Samkova who are national and world champions in their art. Performances on Thursday November 8, 2012 @ 9pm and Friday November 9, 2012 @ 7:30pm at the ARTS at Marks Garage. Tickets are $10 and available an hour before the performance or online at www.hawaiitheatre.com including an online booking fee. The Oahu Fringe Festival is a performing arts festival featuring performances of almost everything under the sun. This year's festival will include circus art, dance, theatre, puppetry, performance art, clowning, poetry, music, acrobatic pole dancing and much more! 10 shows at 4 venues throughout Chinatown November 8-10.
